WHAT FIRST DREW YOU TO PILATES, & HOW HAS YOUR PRACTICE EVOLVED OVER TIME?

Pilates was a beautiful transition in my fitness career. I loved how I could facilitate strong bodies without adding to further injury or strain on the body. I love combining my pilates practice with functional strength training and adopt many of those principles in the studio too 🔥

WHAT IS IT ABOUT TEACHING PILATES THAT YOU LOVE THE MOST?

I love the people! The connections and community that has evolved in the last year alone makes my heart burst with happiness & pride. I never feel like I am at work, I genuinely feel like I get to hang out with my friends everyday! I’ve seriously hit jackpot 🫶🏽

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE STARTING PILATES FOR THE FIRST TIME?

It’s more than just a form of movement. It’s a way to connect deeper with your body and an opportunity to create real strength & mobility. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the burn 🔥

WHAT FIRST DREW YOU TO PILATES, & HOW HAS YOUR PRACTICE EVOLVED OVER TIME?

" I was initially drawn to Pilates for the iconic "pilates burn." Over time i've begun to appreciate soo much more. The connection between body and mind, rehabbing injuries (i'm very clumsy so there is many) and how much stronger I've become both in my body and mind.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT TEACHING PILATES THAT YOU LOVE THE MOST?

"My clients!!!! I love connecting with them and seeing their growth over time. I pinch myself that I get to hang with a group of strong, amazing people and get to call it work."

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE STARTING PILATES FOR THE FIRST TIME?

" I would tell them to keep thinking about why they walked through the door in the first place. Is your goal to become stronger? To meet new best friends? Rehab an injury? Whatever it is just remind yourself why you took that step and soon enough it will become addictive and you'll never look back"

WHAT FIRST DREW YOU TO PILATES, & HOW HAS YOUR PRACTICE EVOLVED OVER TIME?

"I was initially drawn to Pilates as I was looking for a lower-impact practice that would help balance my fitness routine, and Pilates immediately clicked with me. Over time, my practice has evolved to include a deeper understanding of movement and body awareness. It’s become not just a physical workout, but also a form of mindfulness, helping me connect more with how my body feels and moves in the present moment."

WHAT IS IT ABOUT TEACHING PILATES THAT YOU LOVE THE MOST?

"It is the ability to help people discover their strength and potential. It’s incredibly rewarding to see clients improve not just in their physical abilities, but also in their confidence and mental well-being."

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE STARTING PILATES FOR THE FIRST TIME?
"I’d say: be patient with yourself and enjoy the process, it’s only normal to feel a little bit awkward at the start. Pilates is all about building awareness and control over your body, so it’s not about perfection. Focus on learning the fundamentals, listen to your body, and trust that with time and consistency, you’ll see improvement."
